Roberta E. Kirchoff (Bobbie)

Roberta (Bobbie) Kirchhoff, nee Jarpey, was at last reunited with her loving husband Randy (Ran) on April 3, 2021. Randall R. Kirchhoff preceded her in death on September 13, 1982. A resident of Milwaukee in later life, Roberta was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 13th, 1927 to Robert and Ellen Jarpey and was sister to the late Joyce Hoffman and Frank Jarpey. She is survived by her five children, Daniel (Michi) Keenan, Robert Keenan, Larry (Jan) Keenan, Randy (Debbie) Kirchhoff, and Kathy Pejsa (Judy Bovee). She is further survived by her grandchildren Kari (Matt) Keenan-Hopkins, Jeff (Jeffrey Kurschner) Keenan, Jennifer (Clay) Keenan Joyner, Michael (Lynn) Keenan, Kaitlyn Kirchhoff (Alec Nelson) , Kirstin Kirchhoff (Billy Dugay), and Danny Pejsa. Roberta was a great-grandmother to 11 and leaves behind many other family and friends. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Roberta will be remembered for her fun loving, independent, and determined spirit by her family, friends, and acquaintances. She was active in many of her children's school functions and community affairs, worked a variety of waitressing and clerical jobs, and was employed as a proofreader after the sudden and untimely loss of her beloved husband Randy. A longtime resident of Berwyn, Illinois Roberta assimilated in the culture of the area as was evident by her love of Bohemian food. Roberta was as sharp as a tack, always fashionable, and had an enviable knowledge of history and memory of the past. She enjoyed many activities including reading, crossword puzzles, chess, gardening, needlepoint, knitting, and a variety of crafts that she especially enjoyed with her friends at the Shorewood Community Senior Center. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls fan and was pretty successful at picking the winner of the Kentucky Derby. Roberta was happiest, however, when she was surrounded by family and especially so with Ran at their cottage in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday 4/13/21 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park, IL 60130. Masks and social distancing required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HOPE Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 261, Ironwood, Michigan 49938. Special thanks to Stiliani Revere and Laura Stefan with Horizon Home Care and Hospice, and Anna Bolwerk and the entire staff of Lawlis Family Hospice who took such loving and beautiful care of Roberta.
