Caren Hanson Obituary

Caren E Hanson (nee Dingman), age 79 of Richfield departed the bonds of earth to find peace on November 14, 2023. Predeceased by parents Stuart M and Edith J Dingman, and brother Steven S. Beloved wife of Robert J Hanson since their marriage in Whitefish Bay, WI in 1966. A graduate of UWM with a degree in music education, Caren held numerous positions with universities and non-profits as an administrative assistant retiring from BMO Harris in 2012, all the while partnering with her husband in their antique and numismatic business. A lyric soprano with her basso husband Bob, they sang in many choral groups for decades. 

Loving mother of Erica (Dario) Elia of Shorewood, and Jon (Megan) Hanson of Portland, Oregon. Proud grandma of Ansley Elia. Further survived by brother Michael (Susan) Dingman of Racine, sister Jane (Dr James) Kircher of Shorewood, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life memorial service is being planned for early 2024 at Northshore Funeral Services Chapel, 3601 N. Oakland Avenue, Shorewood, Wi 53211. Memorials may be made to the Hartford Community Chorus and mailed to Robert Hanson, PO Box 117, Richfield, WI 53076.
