Kent Gordon Kromarek passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Born to Frank and Inez (nee Simonson) Kromarek on April 24, 1944. Kent was raised on a cattle farm in Scranton, ND, with his five siblings:
Daniel (Dwynne), Janice (Butch) Patterson, Larry (Sharon), Wayne, Bonnie (Daniel) Dacar, David and Karen. After graduating as high school class president in 1962, Kent graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for graduate school, where he met his beautiful wife of 52 years, Mary (Steiner). Kent and Mary moved to Whitefish Bay in 1974, where they were blessed with three dearly-loved, smarty-pants children: Kassia Fultz, Andrew (Lauren) and Carey (Joel) Courtney; five genius, beloved grandchildren: Jacob, Emily, and Anna Fultz, Juliana and Isabella Courtney, and six cats over the years. Kent was a faithful member of Bay Shore Lutheran Church for almost 50 years, participating in the singing and handbell choirs, and was an assistant professor and Dept Chair of Mathematics at UW-Waukesha for 28 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: David, Karen and Janice . Kent will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family members.
The memorial service for Kent will be held on Saturday, March 25th, at 2:00 pm, at Bay Shore Lutheran Church, with a celebration of life afterwards. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Bay Shore Lutheran Church.
