Margaret M. Ball passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 93 on August 31, 2019. During her final days in the hospital, she was blessed by visits from family and friends. Margaret was born March 10, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in Barnum, Minnesota where she attended high school, making many lifelong friends and enjoyed participating in forensics, plays, and band.
Margaret was a wonderful homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and through the years knitted over 400 Afghans that she donated to local nursing homes. When her children were young she was active in her church, after her children were grown she enjoyed secretarial jobs at Bycrus Erie and, later, other agencies. Her love of poetry and the bible led her to compile her favorite poems and verses into several books.
Margaret was an outgoing, giving, loving person who enjoyed a good conversation with family, friends, or strangers. Her religious faith buoyed her when facing the many health issues she had throughout her life.
The family extends many thanks to Margaret's caregivers, Tia Wielochowski, Megan Martens, Dannette Agee, Jaela Mcglothlin, and to the staffs at Columbia St. Mary's on North Ave and the Lawlis Hospice Center, and to Chaplin Eugene Cowen.
