We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Northshore Funeral Services
Born January 21, 1936, in Chicago, IL to Armadale and Mildred Carver. Born to Eternal Life on December 1, 2021, age 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Ann Carver (nee Carbone). Loving father of Robert (Jayne) Carver, Jr., Trish (Royce) Maynard, Michael (Christine) Carver and Meg (Timothy) Konczakowski. Proud grandfather of Andrew, William and Madeline; Maura, Cara and Meghan; Erin, Brittney, Samantha and Michael, Jr.; Alexander and Nicholas.
At an early age Bob moved and was raised in Denver, CO. After high school he attended Marquette University and graduated in 1959 with a BS in Business Administration, followed by an MBA. While attending Marquette University, he met the love of his life, Ruth Ann Carbone, they married in 1959 and raised their 4 children at their beloved home of 47 years in Whitefish Bay. Bob spent 3+ decades working for the Falk Corporation retiring as their controller in 1997. Upon retirement Bob spent the remainder of his life dedicated to caring for his wife of almost 62 years, though he did get some tee times in.
Bob remained a huge sports fan for all his life, and he was an incredible athlete in his youth. Drafted out of high school by the Pittsburgh Pirates, he chose to attend college instead. Bob loved and followed the Brewers, Packers, Bucks and of course the Marquette Warrior basketball team. He often told stories to his children of hopping the fence at County Stadium in college to see the Packers play. One of his greatest memories was when his 4 children took him to see his first Packer game at Lambeau Field.
Bob spent over 25 years volunteering in many positions at his lifelong parish of Holy Family. But his most important positions of all in life were that of husband, father and grandfather. He excelled at all three.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth Ann, his dear aunts Gerry and Helen, his second mother Ruth Carbone, brother-in-law Patrick Youmans and sister-in-law Mary Pat Deuel. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, twelve grandchildren, sister-in-law Kathleen Youmans, brother-in-law Mike Deuel, nieces, nephews and his adopted Sullivan family.
Visitation will take place on Friday December 17th after 9:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Parish; 4825 N. Wildwood Ave; Whitefish Bay, WI 53217, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to Marquette University appreciated.
