Robert L. Zoeller

Robert L. Zoeller, 84, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed into eternal life on Friday, July 28, 2023.

Bob was born in Topeka, Kansas, but spent his formative years in Chicago, Illinois. He was a 1956 graduate of St. Ignatius College Preparatory School in Chicago. He earned an ME degree from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity at IIT.

He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force where he was the officer of the day in a missile silo, The Titan II, on the day of the Cuban Missile Crisis in October of 1962.

Bob was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family, classical music, the opera, fishing, and the passion of his life, model railroading, an interest he pursued throughout most of his life. He was a long- time member of the National Association of Prototype Modelers.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity of spirit, keen intellect, infectious smile and unfailing sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Jean Hady, his sister, Kay Ring of Denver, Colorado. Loving father of Dr. Robert L. Jr. (Dawn), Thomas Zoeller, Kathleen (Steve) Contezac, Dr. Karen Swanson (Paul) and Patricia Zoeller. Proud grandfather of Maggie Zoeller, Jack (Claire) Zoeller, Michelle (Tyler) Vogds, Jacquelyn Zoeller, Daniella Zoeller and Eric Zoeller; Nick (Anna) Contezac and Joseph Contezac, Dr. Cal Swanson, Grace Swanson and Sonia Swanson, great grandfather of Layla and Harlow; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Celebration of Life service will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24 at the Oconomowoc Golf Club, W360 N5261 Brown St., Oconomowoc, WI  53066.
