Ruth Ann Carbone Carver was born February 12, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI to Vincent Francis Carbone and Ruth Mary Sullivan Carbone. After several moves, the births of her two beloved sisters, Mary Pat and Kathleen, and the death of her father, Ruth Ann made Milwaukee's east side her permanent home. Ruth Ann attended Holy Angels Academy ('54) then Marquette University, graduating with a BA in English in 1958. Marquette is where Ruth Ann met the love of her life, Robert Dale Carver Sr. The two married on September 26, 1959, and raised four children in their home of 47 years in Whitefish Bay.
Ruth Ann and Bob remained huge supporters of their alma mater, enjoying every game they could attend as lifelong season ticket holders of the MU Basketball team. Ruth Ann always found time to contribute her talent and time to causes dear to her heart, including serving as president of the Association of Marquette University Women and filling her long time parish of Holy Family with the sound of her angelic voice. Ruth Ann's commitment to family was never more obvious than her dedication to her mother and her dearest Auntie Alice, both of whom were ever-present in her home throughout their lives.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Mary Pat Deuel, dear Aunt Alice Sullivan, brother-in-law Patrick Youmans and many more family members. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 61 years Robert Dale Carver Sr. Children: Robert (Jayne Passon) Carver, Jr., Trish Carver (Royce) Maynard, Michael (Christine Rietzel) Carver, and Meg Carver (Timothy) Konczakowski. 12 loving grandchildren Andrew, William and Madeline Carver; Maura, Cara, and Meghan Maynard; Erin Curtis, Brittney, Samantha, and Michael Jr., Carver; Alexander and Nicholas Konczakowski; sister Kathleen Youmans, brother-in-law Michael Deuel and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
