Suzanne “Sue” Gordon passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 94. She is survived by three children: Gail Salowey (Richard Salowey), Don Fendrich (Barbara Fendrich), and Michael Fendrich (Marcy Dicker); five grandchildren: Liza Story (Paul Story), Melissa Browning (Alex Browning), David Fendrich (Sophie Fendrich), Benjamin Fendrich (Deborah Fendrich), and Alex Fendrich (Stanley Brown); and five great grandchildren. Sue was born in Great Neck, N.Y. in 1929 to Estelle and George Nossiter. She is predeceased by her sister, Elayne Boros and her brother, Bernard Nossiter.
Sue was married to Bernard Fendrich for over 30 years until his untimely death in 1981. Together, Sue and Bernie raised their three children in the town of Port Washington, N.Y. Sue later married Stanley Gordon and moved to Huntington, New York. She moved to Longboat Key, Florida in the early 1990’s and became a devoted partner to Marvin Levitt for over two decades. Together they split their time between Florida and Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Sue was a loving grandmother, sang in a chorus, had a wide circle of friends, and was an avid bridge player. Sue always had a bright smile and the spirit and spark of youth. Sue savored life and viewed the world “with a glass half-full.” May her memory be a blessing.
